Lift Your Voice! Find Your Local Representatives Here:
Each year, there are several important local, state and federal elections on the ballot. Collectively, the outcome of these elections always have a major impact on a wide range of issues that impact our community, city and country, including public education.

Being a non-profit, non-partisan organization, AF cannot and does not endorse specific candidates, but we can and do encourage all our families, staff and of-age scholars to make their voices heard and vote. To assist you in this effort, here are some key resources and information in advance of Election Day:
-
Voting eligibility: You are eligible to vote if you turn 18 on or before Election Day and are a New York resident;
-
Voting location: You can find your local poll site at bit.ly/AFNYpollsite and the polls will be open in New York from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
-
Voter registration: Registration has closed in NY for the upcoming election, but you can register online for future elections at bit.ly/VoterRegAFNY.
-
Voter Education: You can learn more about the candidates running for office at bit.ly/AFNYvoterguide, so you can cast an informed ballot. If you are a first-time voter, you might find this overview and guide helpful as well: bit.ly/AFNYfirsttime.
Otherwise, if you have any additional questions about voting and the election, you can contact your Board of Elections borough office at bit.ly/AFNYBOE or to report any issues or concerns.

We hope that you’ll take the time to exercise your right to vote. Let’s show our soon-to-be elected leaders that Achievement First families are active, engaged citizens and leaders in our community!
